Thursday is Jaren Jackson's birthday. It is also the day that the 5-star recruit will announce his college decision per his personal Twitter:
Thank you to all of the schools that have recruited me. I'll be sharing my decision tomorrow on my birthday. ... pic.twitter.com/R1KtrXnX8h— Jaren Jackson Jr. (@therealjnari_) September 14, 2016
Purdue, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Georgetown, and Maryland are his final five. He has taken an unofficial visit to all five within the past month and coach Painter has been up to workouts twice in the past week at LaLumiere in LaPorte.
Most experts out there believe that it is down to Purdue and Maryland. He is formerly from Silver Spring, Maryland, but played the last three years at Park Tudor (winning Class 2A state titles in 2014 and 2015 with Trevon Bluiett) before transferring to LaLumiere this year. Painter has reportedly done his recruitment "perfectly"
With no current 2017 commits Jackson could be the first domino to fall in an excellent class with Nojel Eastern, Evan Battey, and Xavier Tillman still as top targets.
And now we wait.
