Welcome to game week! We have a new podcast today and we also will start getting into our regular game week features, but we still have five days left of individual player profiles.
Domonique Young – Sr.
Los Angeles, CA (Cerritos College)
6’3”, 215 pounds
Wide Receiver
2016 Projection: Starter at wide receiver
Domo Young is in line to have a great season for Purdue. He emerged as a starting wide receiver last year in his first year out of junior college and finished with a solid 21 receptions for 276 yards and a touchdown. he also added a touchdown on a 4-yard end-around earlier in the season. His best game came at Northwestern when he caught a 68 yard touchdown pass on Purdue’s first offensive play. He finished the day with five catches for 107 yards and a score.
Young was also involved in one of the scarier moments of the season when he was knocked out on a targeting play over the middle of the field against Bowling Green. He missed the next game, but in his final three games of the year he had 14 receptions for 218 yards.
Austin Logan – Sr.
Tallahassee, FL (Florida HS)
6’, 200 pounds
Safety
2016 Projection: Reserve at Safety
Logan is a player that has fallen a long way in his career. In 2013 he played extensively in 10 games and it looked like he was going to be a multi-year starter. He even had an interception against Nebraska. Last year he didn’t even play, and not due to injury. He has been passed on the depth chart and it looks like he has a long way back to the field going into his senior season.
