Today was have a walk-on who has put in a lot of hard work and has now earned his way to the field for his senior season.

Evan Pulliam -€” Sr.

Indianapolis, IN (Cathedral HS)

6'2", 225 pounds

Linebacker

2016 Projection: reserve at linebacker, contributor on special teams

Pulliam is another walk-on from Cathedral, which is a regular pipeline school for Purdue. He walked on to the team in 2012 and this year is his fifth and final year as a walk-on. It took some time for him to earn playing time, but in 2014 he played in five games as a special teamer and grabbed one tackle.

Last season was his big breakthrough. He played in 11 games as a regular on special teams and logged some regular time at linebacker. He finished the year with four tackles, three of them against Minnesota.

This year Pulliam should be a valuable special teamer and reserve linebacker.
