2016 Projection: potential starter at cornerback
Cason is one of three players vying to start alongside Da’Wan Hunte at cornerback. He is battling JuCo transfer Kamal Hardy and Myles Norwood for the second corner spot as Purdue must replace both starters from a year ago.
Cason is not without experience, however. He played in six games as a reserve redshirt freshman last season and finished with four tackles. he was a three-star prosecpt out of high school for a state championship team in Michigan.
it looks like Cason will definitely contribute this season, either as a reserve or as a starter. We can probably look for him to be on special teams too.
