Purdue Football Recruiting: Joshua Turner

Purdue made the top 6 for another solid defensive back recruit.

It appears as if Hazell & CO. have made the top 6 for another solid defensive back, Joshua Turner a 3* (247 Sports) out of American Heritage High School in Florida, announced his top 6 via Twitter on Thursday.

Turner is 6' Cornerback that appears to have solid ball skills when watching his Hudl highlights, not only that, he appears to have nice speed. While he is only 175 pounds, he could stand to gain 15 to 20 pounds and maintain his speed, which is a 4.48 forty yard dash according to his recruiting profile. We seem to be in pretty good competition with some other power 5 schools as well. With Iowa, Wisconsin, Boston College and USF offering. According to 247 Sports Crystal Ball Predictions, they believe he will verbal as a Badger.

I am not going to count our Boilers out here though, as it seems if we have been gaining some traction with recruiting. If he were to verbal to us, it would give our Boilers 8 verbals before the season even starts. As the legend informed me yesterday, we are way ahead of where we were at this time last year.

The season is around the corner, hopefully we can have a solid year and this class will stick around. As of now, it is shaping to be one of DH's best classes.
