Another project defensive lineman enters his third season hoping to make an impact.

Today we have another defensive end that is trying to climb his way up the depth chart.

Will Colmery - So. (RS)

Western Spring, Illinois (Nazereth Academy)

6'5", 278 pounds

Defensive tackle

2016 Projection: Reserve at defensive tackle.

The good news is that Colmery is listed at 15 pounds bigger than last season. The bad news is that he is entering his third year in the program and he has yet to see the field at all. He didn't even play in the spring game a few weeks ago, which is not a good sign.

In high school Colmery was a three-star prospect with 38 tackles, 6 for loss, and 2.5 sacks. There is some old training video out there, but overall this is a guy that would be a surprise contributor if he saw the field. Purdue needs a pass rush in the worst way, but there are a large number of guys ahead of him right now including Gelen Robinson, Antoine Miles, and more.
