Purdue Football Recruiting: Dedrick Mackey

Dedrick listed his top 8 via Twitter last night and it appears as if our Boilers are in good shape.

Dedrick Mackey, a 5'11" Corner from Booker T. Washington High School in Miami announced his top 8 via Twitter last night.

Dedrick has a solid offer list including Power 5 teams, Arkasnas, Iowa State, Wisconsin, UCF (AAC), Temple (AAC) and South Forida (AAC). While it is just his final 8, Mackey is a highly touted prospect as you can see. With the secondary being pretty thin and young in the coming years, adding depth to this position is vital for Purdue to have success.

He didn't say when he will be giving his verbal, but it is nice to make it in his top 8 going into his senior year. The 3* recruit (Rivals & 247 Sports), will inevitably get more offers with camps this summer and his upcoming season, but all we can do is hope for the best. In the coming weeks he is making a visit to Wisconsin, maybe he can swing through West Lafayette soon as well to round out his B1G top 8 teams. Take a look at his junior year highlights.
