2016 NBA Draft Open Thread

Good luck to A.J. Hammons tonight as his pro dreams come true.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

And so we're here.

It is hard to believe we have come to this moment where we formally say goodbye to one of the most beloved players in the history of Purdue basketball. Some time int he next few hours a team will select A.J. Hammons in the NBA Draft. There is a good chance he will become Purdue's highest selection since Glenn Robinson went No. 1 overall in 1994. he will be only the 7th selection from Purdue since Robinson, but he will be the fifth under Matt Painter.

So let's watch and wait. Draft Express has him going 45th to Boston. CBS has him rated 43rd overall, putting him with the Rockets. has him at 58 overall to Boston. All of these are fucking absurd too, considering he is constantly rated behind Damian Jones (whom he obliterated one-on-one in December), the wildly and hilariously hyped Thon Maker, and Diamond Stone (another player he whipped one-on-one).

Hopefully we get a surprise tonight. I am thinking he goes 30th overall to Golden State.
