In a surprise move another Boiler has gained an undrafted free agent contract. Michael Rouse III announced this morning he has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
I would like to thank Kansas City Chiefs for giving me the opportunity to put in the work… https://t.co/WTjj9JlVbm

This is a surprise because Rouse was never a huge contributor for Purdue. He was a career reserve that appeared in 25 games with only 22 total tackles and one sack as a defensive tackle. this past season was his best with 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack to go with a forced fumble. Rouse brings good size for a defensive tackle at 6'4'" 301 pounds, but he only started a handful of games during his Purdue tenure. He was a rotation tackle behind Jake Replogle and others.
Then again, we know this current coaching staff has misused a lot of players, so the Chiefs probably saw something that Hazell and co. overlooked.
