We been waiting all day, but we finally get to hear the name of a Boilermaker called in this year's draft.

Cornerback Anthony Brown was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 6th round (189 overall, 14th in round) and the Cowboys made a trade with the Oakland Raiders. Brown becomes the second Boilermaker drafted by the Cowboys in recent years, as Ryan Russell was selected by them last year in the 5th round (163 overall).

It was expected for Brown to be selected in the draft, as he was the only Boilermaker invited to the NFL Combine a few months ago, where he put up impressive numbers. Brown had a great senior year, with his best performance coming against Nebraska on October 31st, where he recorded 3 interceptions and earned B1G Weekly Honors.

Drew posted some of his combine numbers earlier this week in his full profile, which I encourage you to read:

40 Yard Dash: 4.35 (2nd)

Bench Press: 19 (2nd)

Vertical Jump: 35 (NR)

Broad Jump: 115 (NR)

3 Cone Drill: 7.03 (12th)

20 Yard Shuttle: 4.19 (14th)

60 Yard Shuttle: 11.19 (5th)

Congrats, Anthony!
