It looks like we have a date for the home game against Villanova in the 2016 Gavitt Games. The defending national Champion Wildcats will come to West Lafayette on Tuesday, November 15:
Gavitt Games matchups for 11/15: Maryland at Georgetown, Wisconsin at Creighton, and Villanova at Purdue, sources told @CBSSports.

This makes for a very crowded early season schedule. Purdue opens four days earlier against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville and a week after this game it will be in Cancun for two games against Utah State, Auburn, and Texas Tech. somewhere in this stretch Purdue will very likely have two additional Cancun Challenge home games against mid- to low-majors.
Don't forget, right after getting back from Cancun Purdue will likely go on the road at the beginning of December for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
Purdue is 0-2 all-time vs. Villanova, losing 67-50 in Anaheim, California in 1995 and 89-81 in overtime at Madison Square Garden in 2012 (the D.J. Byrd elbow game).
