Purdue will play for the Big Ten Tournament Championship for the third time.

Michigan could not stop him. All of their attempts were futile as he torched them for 27 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocked shots. When Michigan made a late run to cut it to six, AJ was there. When Purdue started hot, AJ was there. When AJ needed a breather, Isaac Haas filled in for 11 points. Once again, AJ Hammons became AJ HAMMONS: DESTROYER OF WORLDS!

Now Purdue will go to play for the Big Ten Tournament Championship and has a very good shot at a No. 3 seed when the NCAA bracket is revealed tomorrow. By all appearances, Purdue is peaking at the right time as they took a good Michigan team and never trailed on their way to a comfortable win.

Vince Edwards had a quite 16 and Rapheal Davis had six, putting him only three points away from 1,000 for his career.

I will have more from the press conference in a moment, but come on down to Indy tomorrow afternoon. It is time to hang another Big Ten banner in Mackey Arena, and Purdue looks like it has a lot more in mind.
