2016 Indiana High School Basketball State Tournament: Regional Semifinal Scores

This morning had a spate of upsets and overtime games.

This morning's Regional semifinals saw a pair of 2017 Purdue targets go down as Kris Wilkes of North Central and Jaren Jackson of Park Tudor were upset. For Park Tudor, it is just their second state tournament loss in six years. Robert Phinisee of McCutcheon had nine fourth quarter points as the Mavericks came from behind to beat Carmel in overtime. Desmond Bane of Seton Catholic also saw his high school career end.

Phinisee fouled out in regulation, but his team hit a buzzer-beater to send it to overtime and Darnell Butler won it in overtime with less than a second left.

Kris Wilkes had 28 points as TH South pulled off the upset of No. 3 ranked North Central. In the second game Paul Scruggs, a 2017 target, had 12 in the first half of this low scoring game, but I can't find his final totals.

Romeo Langford, the top 2018 player in Indiana, had 34 in the overtime win for No. 1 ranked New Albany.
