We normally don’t expect a lot of recruiting action on Christmas Day. In fact, the staff has the day off, but Jeff Brohm doesn’t he is out landing recruits on Christmas Day. Giovanni Hightower-Reviere, a defensive end who had originally committed to Western Kentucky while Brohm was still there, has switched to Purdue. He is the third WKU commitment to follow Brohm to West Lafayette.

Hightower is a 6’4” 224 pound defensive end from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Western Kentucky was his only other FBS level offer. He is a 2-star commit from Rivals, A 2-star from Scout, and is unrated from ESPN. Here are his Hudl highlights.
Everything we have seen from him here screams DEVELOPMENTAL PROSPECT, but he is now a Boiler, so let’s develop him. We need defensive ends and it seems like he is going to be an almost certain redshirt condidate from day 1, but let’s develop him and have him take off in 2018.
