Matt Painter has his second member of the 2017 basketball recruiting class as Eden Ewing, a junior college transfer from Tyler Junior College in Texas, will be signing and streaming the signing ceremony live via YouTube at noon Central Time. you can view the signing ceremony live through the school’s YouTube account here.

As expected of a JuCo player, Ewing should come to Purdue a little more polished than your average freshman. The trade off is that we only get him for two years instead of four.

From the video above it looks like he is a player that can score in transition and finish the ball at the rim. He is one of the more athletic power forwards we have had at Purdue in some time, so it will be interesting to see how he meshes with the returning players in 2017-18.

Because of the likely departure of Caleb Swanigan I would expect him to start from day 1.
