It’s FlightAware season, and astute reader @BoilerofLegend found this little tidbit of information:
Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Intl (KAZO – info)
Kalamazoo, MI
Purdue University (KLAF – info)
Lafayette, IN
05:10PM EST
05:37PM EST
Yep, that is a private jet scheduled to fly from Kalamazoo’s airport directly into the Purdue airport a little after 5:30pm. it is a jet owned by a company in Canton, Ohio called “Ultimate”, but it is not the private Purdue University jet (which is blocked by Flight Aware.
Of course, Western Michigan university happens to be located in Kalamazoo.
This could be absolutely nothing. In fact, it is likely absolutely nothing. It is probably just a small private flight between the two cities and just a coincidence. It is the only listed recent flight between Kalamazoo and West Lafayette, however.
As PJ Fleck has said, he is focused on the MAC championship game on Friday and nothing more, which likely makes this a strange coincidence, so we will just leave it at that. We are only reporting what we know for sure, which is nothing aside from a flight arriving from Kalamazoo.
After all, we did do this before the Wisconsin game when we found a random Louisiana to Purdue flight.
***UPDATE***
Gold and Black has thrown the coldest of water on this story as it does turn out to be nothing. This is the flight the women’s team will be taking to Pitt. Everyone back to work.
The flight coming in from Kalamazoo, which is generating speculation, is arriving to take the #Purdue women’s team to Pitt.
