We get real, live Purdue basketball tonight! The 2016-17 season officially tips off with the McNeese State Cowboys, and it is a good thing we have a tune-up game like this before Villanova on Monday . Purdue is going into tonight with only the following scholarship players:

That’s it. Yes, Grady Eifert and Jon McKeeman are on scholarship this season because we had a few left over, but they are still former walk-ons not expected to play a ton. As it is, Eifert may get more action than normal our of necessity. Basil Smotherman and Ryan Cline are suspended tonight. Jacquil Taylor is out with an injury. It will be interesting to say the least, and I am curious to see Eifert play simply because we might him later on down the road to play 5-10 minutes a night.
