VIDEO: Spike Albrecht Wins Scrimmage With 2/3 Court Shot

The grad transfer is already making waves for Purdue

Yesterday was the final team scrimmage for Purdue basketball before the exhibition portion of the schedule gets underway. It took place on Cardinal Court, and grad transfer Spike Albrecht made a big impression on his new teammates.

That’s Albrecht hitting a 23 court shot to give the black team a 37-34 victory. At least I think it is 37-34 judging by the scoreboard int he background. It appears that he has Carsen Edwards, Caleb Swanigan, Dakota Mathias, and at least Jon McKeeman on his team, while the gold team has Basil Smotherman, Isaac Haas, Ryan Cline, and P.J. Thompson.

This is an example of Spike’s range. As long as he can see the basket he can hit it, and Steph Curry has nothing on him. It also proves a very important corollary when it comes to the game of basketball that we all know and love. A mantra, even:

Never leave the white guy open.
