Isaac Haas Named to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Ward Watch List

The junior center makes the Purdue frontcourt 3 for 3 in being nominated for a national award.

The Purdue frontcourt is widely regarded as the best in America, and we now have proof. On Wednesday Vince Edwards was nominated for the Julius Erving award given to the nation’s best small forward. Yesterday it was Caleb Swanigan’s turn, as he was nominated for the Karl Malone award given to the nation’s best power forward. Today Isaac Haas makes it a sweep as he was one of 20 players named to the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award given to the nation’s best center.

Last season A.J. Hammons was on the watch list and was a finalist before it was given to Utah’s Jakon Poeltl. Here is the complete watch list with Purdue opponents highlighted:
