2016 Purdue Basketball Recruiting: Carsen Edwards Commits

Purdue has its first basketball commitment for the 2016 class (again)! We have been searching for a point guard since C.J. Walker decommitted and now we have him. It is Carsen Edwards from Texas:

Carsen is a three-star commitment according to ESPN and a three-star prospect according to Rivals. He is listed as a smaller point guard at 6' 175, but he plays big in his native Houston, Texas. Baylor, Virginia Tech, and Vanderbilt were among the teams that have offered him.

It will be interesting to see how he fits in. It lookslike (on paper) he will back up P.J. Thompson for two years, while Grant Weatherford is still a factor, so we shall see. It definitely gives Purdue some options.
