It is officially 4th of July weekend, and that means you should be outside grilling meat and drinking and not reading about basketball being played in Greece.
Oh, who am I kidding. We're addicts and proud of it. Anyway, Caleb Swanigan and Team USA have a quarterfinal game on Friday against Italy. The Italians beat Tunisia 89-62 and Australia 69-67 in the group stage before losing to Canada 78-54. they then got to the knockout rounds and beat the Dominican Republic 82-73.
The game gets underway in Greece at 1:15pm Eastern time. Unlike the previous games, which were all carried live via YouTube on the FIBA channel, this game will be streamed live on LiveBasketball.tv. According to the website it is free at their site, but you have to register.
