We're halfway there! The countdown usually starts around Memorial Day and lasts throughout the summer. That means we're halfway through summer and halfway back around to Purdue football.

2015 Projection: Reserve at defensive tackle
Keiwan Joens may not play much this season. Purdue is pretty set at defensive tackle with Ryan Watson and Michael Rouse III as seniors along with Ra'Zahn Howard and Jake Replogle as juniors. That doesn't mean he is not in an important place. Depth is always important.
His senior season in high school he had an impressive 89 tackles and 8 sacks from his defensive tackle position. He was the Marion County (Florida) Defensive Player of the Year and earned a 3-star rating. He was also a team leader and district champion in the shot put.
He might need to get a bit bigger, but he is a future impact player.
