After having three older brothers play and start at Indiana, Today's player came to his senses and joined the right side of the rivalry.
Jake Replogle - Jr.
Centerville, OH (Centerville HS)
6'5", 275 pounds
Defensive Tackle
2015 Projection: Starter at Defensive Tackle
Jake's older brothers Tyler, Mike, and Adam all three went to Bloomington and were multi-year starters for the Hoosiers. Jake threw his family a curveball, however, in coming to West Lafayette. Mrs. Replogle probably was eaten out of house and home having four defensive linemen/linebacker sons that all went to the Big Ten. Her womb might be the most athletic womb since Mrs. Zeller's.
Jake, however, has had a nice career as he enters his third season at Purdue. He avoided a redshirt and played as a true freshman in 2013. He had 13 tackles in seven games as a reserve. Last season he moved into the starting lineup and it paid off. He was an Academic All-Big Ten Selection and had 40 tackles with three sacks as a solid member of the line.
Entering his junior season Jake is expected to be a major contributor for an improved defense. Along with Ra'Zahn Howard, he is expected to anchor the middle of the defensive line as an experienced and talented player.
