The Boilers picked up another verbal commitment from an offensive lineman today in Luke Campbell out of Olentangy High School in Lewis Center, Ohio. The 6'4", 275 lb. offensive tackle hasn't been rated yet by any of the recruiting sites, but he was named to the 3rd Team All-Ohio by the Associated Press last season as a junior. He also had offers from Air Force, Ball State, Cincinnati, and Toledo, according to 247sports.
Just got a lot BIGGER & BETTER here at Purdue! #AllAboard what a great day for #BoilerNation

The 2016 class is going to be very small for Purdue, but it has taken shape rather quickly. With six commitments so far, the class is already about halfway full and we could see a few more players commit in the very near future. There are a couple of wide receivers allegedly pretty close to making a decision as well as a possible defensive end from Atlanta. I don't want to count any chickens just yet, but we could be looking at a nearly full class heading in to July.
Here's a clip from hudl of Campbell from this past season for your viewing pleasure. Aside from being big and strong, he looks pretty agile and quick as they have him pulling quite a bit. That's about the extent of my offensive line knowledge, so I'll leave the rest to the professionals. Welcome to the family, Luke!
