The final player in our countdown should be a solid option at point guard.

The following is worthy of all caps hyperbole:

WE HAVE REAL, LIVE PURDUE BASKETBLAL TOMORROW WHERE THE GAMES COUNT!!!!!!

Now that we have that out of the way, let's meet our final player on the roster.

Johnny Hill - Grad Student

Glendale Heights, IL (Glenbard East HS, Illinois State, Texas-Arlington)

6'3", 187 pounds

Point Guard

2015-16 Projection: Starting Point Guard

The latest in the line of one-year hired mercenaries comes to us from Texas-Arlington by way of Illinois State. Yes, Johnny Hill is playing for his third program in five years, but he is here to provide point guard stability and senior leadership just like Jon Octeus last year. That also means Indiana should be afraid, because Octeus and Sterling carter both cemented their legacies at Purdue with memorable moments against the Hoosiers (RIP, Collin Hartman).

Last season Hill averaged 10.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists at Texas-Arlington. Before that he spent two years playing in the Missouri Valley Conference at Illinois State. He was a regular starter for the Redbirds in year No. 2 and averaged 7.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.

Hill is at Purdue strictly for stability. We needed a point guard and went out and got him. He doesn't have the credentials that Octeus had, but he has had more time to get acclimated to the Purdue culture since he has been here all summer. Will he fit like Octeus? We'll see.
