Basketball recruiting has been relatively quiet this year, but the boilermaker family grew by one today as Carsen Edwards, the 6'1", 175 pound point guard from Humble, TX signed his National Letter of Intent and is officially locked in with the 2016 recruiting cycle:

Carsen is a 3-star pickup and he is known to be more of a scoring point guard, but the Ronnie Johnson alarm should not be sounding. Carsen comes equipped with a jump shot. he ranks 136th nationally according to Rivals and he averaged 23 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2 steals last season.

Finally, we have a quote after his initial commitment back in August:

"I enjoy playing physical," said Edwards, who accepted Purdue's scholarship offer on Tuesday. "I don't really like playing soft. That's the only way I know, really."

Sounds like a good fit! Welcome aboard, Carsen!
