Notes

  • It looks like the ankle injury sustained by D.J. Knox will keep him out, as Markell Jones is listed as the starter and David Yancey as the primary backup. Yancey has two carries for two yards on the season.
  • No idea where Keyante Green is. He apparently crapped in Hazell and Shoop's cereal and has been banished to the land of fog and silence. I mean, why would a 1-6 team want to mix things up and play one of its few 4-star players?
  • There is now an "Or" between Jimmy Herman and Garrett Hudson at middle linebacker. This was a weakness that Wisconsin exploited relentlessly, so why mix things up?

That's it. After a bye week those are the only changes we see, which speaks volumes about the level of talent Purdue has and the coaching staff. Trying to change what is working. The only benefit from Knox's injury is that is basically forced Purdue to play Jones, who has been more productive for weeks and appears to be Purdue's lone big play threat. All future dispatches from the coaching staff will now be handled by our new Minister of Information:
