Purdue needed to groom a kicker to replace the graduating Paul Griggs after next season, and they got a good one today in Joliet (Ill.) Catholic Academy's Brian Bravo. The kicking/punting website Kohl's has him rated as 5-stars and he is listed as one of the top kickers in the Midwest. Bravo will be joining the team as a preferred walk-on and will not affect the recruiting numbers going forward.
With just 2 senior kickers on the roster for next year, this was obviously an area of need for the Boilermakers. Teaming up with incoming freshman punter Joe Schopper, Hazell should have a very solid kicking/punting game going forward.
