18 Days To Purdue Football: Cameron Posey

The sophomore has recovered from a torn ACL and should be one of Purdue's top receivers.

Purdue did not have many productive players on offense last year, but one was a pleasant surprise as a redshirt freshman. He also has already beaten the ACL curse to come back stronger.

2014 Projection: Starter at wide receiver

Purdue had three freshmen wide receivers that did a lot last season, and that means the winner of the quarterback derby will have plenty of quality targets to throw to. Perhaps the biggest surprise was Posey. Not a lot was expected of him, especially with other productive players back, but Posey was  fourth on the team in receptions with 26 catches, fifth in yardage with 297 yards, and second in receiving touchdowns with three.

He has been limited a lot this offseason, however, due to a torn ACL. The early fall reports say that he is already practicing without limitations, so Purdue may have dodged a bullet here, as Posey should be one of the top targets on the team.
