31 Days To Purdue Football: Tre Rowe

Today's featured player is a walk-on cornerback from Ohio.

Walk-ons can be the life blood of the program because they perform a valuable service as scout team members and special teamers. That's likely the role that today's player will fill.

Tre Rowe - Fr. (RS)

Reynoldsburg, OH (Reynoldsburg HS)

5'9", 170 pounds

2014 Projection: Deep reserve at cornerback

For a cornerback, Rowe is a bit undersized, but we had the same with Ricardo Allen for the last four years and it worked out extremely well. In high school he was a decent defensive back and kick returner and even has some highlights available.

As far as his long-term prognosis, he is likely a scout team guy and special teamer, mostly because there are a lot of recruited players in front of him. Purdue only has four scholarship players listed as a cornerback, however, with a few more listed as defensive back, so we could see him in time.
