Antonio Parks, a 3* DB from Louisiana, will choose between Clemson, Arizona, and Purdue on Friday. The Boilermakers are considered third in this three-team race, but stranger things have happened. The fact that Purdue has managed to go on the road and compete for Parks, a much sought after recruit with 17 offers, speaks to Marcus Freeman's (his primary recruiter for Purdue) ability to connect with recruits. There is no prize for coming in third, but you've got to be in it to win it, and Purdue and coach Hazell is starting to get their foot in the door for some bigger recruits. Now they need to figure out a way to close the deal. Let's hope for a 4th of July miracle.
I'll be back with a full write up should Parks shock the recruiting world and pick Purdue. Regardless of Parks decision, I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July.
