Purdue has some definite talent at wide receiver, so unless he plays in a special teams role it seems unlikely that today's player, a walk-on, will see the field.

Wide Receiver
2014 Projection: Deep reserve at receiver
If there is one area where Purdue has definite talent and depth it is receiver. DeAngelo Yancey, Shane Mikesky, Dan Monteroso, Cameron Posey, B.J. Knauf, and Danny Anthrop all return as some of the top players and the position, and this doesn't even count the true freshmen or guys coming out of redshirt. That's one reason it seems unlikely that Marzec will see the field.
MArzec was one of the top receivers for three years running in 2008, 2009, and 2010 in Indiana, however. He seems a little bit like former walk-on T.J. Barberette, whom Joe Tiller called "the short, fast guy". His numbers his senior year in HS were obscene as Leo made the semi-state. He averaged 22.4 yards per catch and 10.8 yards per rush while scoring 19 TDs and even notching 10 interceptions as a two-way player.
