Markell Jones, a 5'9" 205 lb. running back from Columbus, IN, verbally committed to play for Purdue this morning. Jones tweeted his intentions this morning and it was confirmed by the coaching staff. This is another huge pickup for the Boilers as momentum for the 2015 class continues to build. The 3-star athlete also held offers from Ball State, Miami (OH), Toledo, and Western Michigan but many other schools were showing interest.

This is officially Purdue's 6th commitment for 2015 (still waiting on more information as to what happened with Reche Thomas) and 2nd running back commit. Jones led his Columbus East team to a 15-0 record last year and a 4A state championship. Last season, he racked up over 2,500 yards and 42 touchdowns.
