Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

We rarely talk about long snappers around here, but with senior Jesse Schmitt set to depart after this season the Boilers will be in need of a replacement. I can name the last three long snappers (John Finch, Kevin Ballinger, and Schmitt), mostly because I run this blog. Otherwise, no one knows their names because they do a great job and virtually every snap for about 10 straight seasons has been perfect.

Grant Ellington - Jr.

Hometown: LaGrange, Ill (Drake University)

Long Snapper

6', 205 pounds

2014 Projection: Reserve Long snapper
