The Indiana National Guard Governor's Cup, formerly the Crimson & Gold Cup, formerly the Titan Series is back in Purdue's hands after the men's and women's track teams both finished ahead of Indiana in this weekend's Big Ten meet at Purdue. That gave Purdue a 12-8 edge over the Hoosiers this season, and possession of the Cup outright for the first time since 2007.
Purdue had tied with Indiana in 2010 and 2008, but the Hoosiers had won four of the last six meetings outright. The 12 points is Purdue's best performance in quite awhile and moved Purdue to 5-7-2 all-time in the all-sports standings.
So congratulations are in order to Volleyball, women's basketball, men's basketball, Men's and women's indoor track, men's & women's outdoor track, softball, men's tennis, women's golf, men's golf, and wrestling for proving that IU sucks. As for soccer, men's & women's cross country, football, women's swimming & diving, men's swimming & diving, women's tennis, and baseball, get it together!
