Once again, coach Hazell is out offering players that can hopefully turn the program around, or at least get involved in case the turnaround begins in 2014. The 2015 class is a huge one for Hazell as itwill likely be the make-or-break class for him. Here are the latest offers:
James Locke - S - Beaumont, TX - Locke is a 5'10" 180 pound safety that is rated as a high three-star by ESPN and Rivals. Already some of the top schools are on him with Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Michigan State, and Notre Dame having offered. This is a true national recruit with a fistful of offers, so we're in for a hard fight here.
Cordel Iwuagwu - OL - Houston, TX - Iwuagwu is a 6'3" 280 pound lineman that projects as an offensive guard at the next level. Rivals already has him as a three-star prospect and he is unrated by ESPN. Syracuse, Illinois, and Iowa State are the bigger programs that have offered him along with Purdue, so it seems like we at least have a decent shot at him.
Mirko Jurkovic Jr. - OL - Jurkovic is a 6'4" 268 pound offensive guard that is attending the IMG Academy in Bardenton, Florida. This is the same academy that one-time commit Denzel Ward attended, so Purdue has at least a little experience here. He is also a promising 3-star prospect that has offers from Arkansas, South Carolina, and Connecticut.
Micah Dew-Treadway - DT - Bolingbrook, IL - Dew-Treadway was recently on campus for an unofficial visit and he is a big defensive tackle at 6'5" 273 pounds. A lot of Big Ten schools are giving him a look, as he has offers from Wisconsin and Indiana along with Mississippi State and Cincinnati. He, too, is a three-star prospect.
