P.J. Thompson Named To Indiana All-Star Team

Some good news for Purdue basketball! Incoming freshman point guard P.J. Thompson was announced as an Indiana All-Star today. The Indiana All-Star team is a time-honored tradition as they annually take on the Kentucky All-Stars in a home-and-home series. The series has been going on since 1940 and it is considered a great honor to be named to the annual team, which is only open to outgoing seniors. The only higher honor is to be named Mr. Basketball, which is the best senior player in the state of Indiana.

Trey Lyles - Indianapolis Tech - Kentucky (also named Mr. Basketball)

Jeremie Tyler - Indianapolis Tech - Ball State

Trevon Blueitt - Park Tudor - Xavier

James Blackmon Jr. - Marion - Indiana

Bryant McIntosh - Greensburg - Northwestern

Sean Sellers - Greensburg - Ball State

P.J. Thompson - Brebeuf Jesuit - Purdue

Zach McRoberts - Carmel - Vermont

Tayler Persons - Kokomo - Northern Kentucky

TylerWideman - Lake Central - Butler

D.J. McCall - Ft. Wayne Concordia - IUPUI

Mack Mercer - Plymouth - Belmont

Grant Evans - Wapahani - Wright State

All 13 members of this year's team are headed to Division I schools with McIntosh, Blackmon, and Wideman guaranteed to be on future Purdue schedules.
