2014 Purdue Basketball Recruiting: February 18 Update

Isaac Haas is already playing for a state championship in Alabama.

Purdue 2014 basketball commitments are winding down their seasons and Isaac Haas and vince Edwards both had their senior nights recently. Soon t hey will be involved in their respective state playoffs as they chase a state title.

Dakota Mathias - G - Elida HS, Elida, OH - This Friday night will be the final regular season game for Dakota as he earned a 55-52 win over Bellefontaine last Tuesday and a 66-62 win over Bath on Friday. Elida enters its final regular season game at 17-3 on the year and has a winner-take-all game on Friday against Celina for the Western Buckeye League. In the victory over Bath Dakota struggled a bit with only 19 points, six assists, and five rebounds. He is averaging over 28 points per game this year.

Vince Edwards - F - Middletown HS, Franklin, OH - Middletown is 15-6 heading into tis final regular season game this week at home against Princeton, a team they have already beaten once this season 51-41. This past week Edwards had just one game, a 69-64 win over Mason where he had a huge game of 27 points, 17 rebounds, 7 assists, and two blocks.

Jacquil Taylor - F - Cambridge, MA, Beaver Country Day School - Jacquil's team had just one game since the last update, a 72-57 win over Concord Academy. As usual, stats were hard tom come by.

Isaac Haas - C - Piedmont, AL, Hoke's Bluff HS - The Class 4A state playoffs are already underway for Haas and Hoke's Bluff, as they won their sub-regional 44-40 over Cleburne County to set up a second round game against Madison County. Hokes Bluff is already 27-5 on the season while Madison County is 22-5. Haas had 16 points in the low scoring affair.The full tournament bracket can be found here.
