2014 Maui Invitational: Day 1 Recap & Day 2 Schedule

Things went pretty much to form on Monday at the Lahaina Civic Center.

Day 1 is now in the books out on Maui and here is a brief recap:

Kansas State 88, Purdue 79 - An awful first half doomed the Boilers, who cut a 20 point lead to five with about three minutes left, but couldn't get any closer. Marcus Foster had 24 to lead K-State.

Arizona 72, Missouri 53 - Missouri shot only 36% from the field in this one as Arizona was in control throughout. Brandon Ashley and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson led Arizona with 15 each.

Pittsburgh 81, Chaminade 68 - Michael Young had 27 points on the day as Pittsburgh was pushed by the Silverswords, but still had firm control.

San Diego State 92, BYU 87 2 OT - Tyler Haws had a big game with 26 points and Kyle Collinsworth had 21, but BYU couldn't hold on for the upset. Aqeel Quinn hit a three with 28 seconds left int he first overtime to tie it at 77-77 an keep SDSU alive.
