Samford at Purdue: SEASON TIP OFF GAME THREAD!

IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE! IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!

Tonight is the tipoff of Boilermaker Basketball as Purdue hosts Samford. After another frustrating (but improving) football season we finally get basketball back to hopefully erase our pain. Of course, basketball has been equally frustrating for two straight seasons, but the coaches and players have been saying and doing the right things in the lead-up to tonight. Tonight is the first step in erasing all the frustrating of the last two years. It should, should be an easy victory over an opponent that is rebuilding under a first-year coach.

one thing I want to see tonight is how well the five freshmen handle their college debuts. P.J. Thompson, Dakota Mathias, Jacquil Taylor, Vince Edwards, and Isaac Haas all had promising moments in the exhibition season, but this time it counts.

This is a new year and it is a mostly new team with six newcomers and only five returning scholarship players. Let's get it on!
