Sean Robinson Out With Injured ACL

The senior middle linebacker has likely seen the end of his career.

At this point do I even need to say it?

Robinson, a converted quarterback, has so far had his best season as a Boilermaker with 42 tackles, a sack, and two pass break-ups. Coach Hazell has also relied on his leadership in the middle of the defense as one of the few seniors playing. Personally, I have to give the kid a ton of credit. He came here as a quarterback and very well could still be there if not for the way Danny Hope handled QBs. He switched positions and has had to learn on the fly each of the past three years. As it turns out, he grew into a pretty good linebacker for the first half of this season. He's not the best out there, but he has played with a lot of heart and leadership.

It seems like he might still consider playing, but playing middle linebacker without an ACL has to be a lot different than when Robert Marve played without one two years ago.Danny Ezechukwu, Andy James Garcia, and Garrett Hudson look to be in line to replace him. Joe Gilliam was a likely replacement, but he too is out with the same injury.

Heal up, Sean. Thank you for being a Boilermaker.
