Purdue Football Recruiting: Official Visit from Ke'Shawn "Red Mamba" Vaughn

Purdue will host an official visit from 4* RB Ke'Shawn "Red Mamba" Vaughn this weekend.

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

Ke'Shawn "Red Mamba" Vaughn will make the trek up from Nashville for an official visit to watch the inevitable Boilermaker upset of the Michigan State Spartans. Vaughn is 5'10, 210 pound running back that has been dominating the high school competition in the Nashville area. Purdue has been on Vaughn from the beginning, and their loyalty has merited a visit from the explosive Vaughn. In a class full of running backs, Vaughn would be the highest rated, with a composite ranking of 87 (3*) and a 247 ranking of 92 (4*). In fact, he would be the highest rated player in the entire class according to 247. Purdue will have some stiff competition in the race for Vaughn's commitment. He currently holds offers from Vandy, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, ECU, Cal, and recently picked up an offer from Tenn. Purdue coaches have put in some major work to get Vaughn on campus, and could use a little cooperation from the fan base to help seal the deal. Vaughn attended the UT vs UF game last week in front of 100,000+ at Neyland Stadium. If Purdue could at least put 50,000 fans in the stands for a game against the highly ranked Spartans, it might be helpful. You want a better team? Time to put some butts in the seats and show Red Mamba the love.
