According to a J&C article from last year, this year's Super Bowl makes it 15 straight with Purdue representation, this year's reps being DE Cliff Avril and DE Shaun Phillips. The longest active streak belongs to Nebraska, who brings their number up to 21 this year. This is only the 2nd time since 2007 that Purdue has had multiple representatives in the game. In 2012 the Patriots had Matt Light, Niko Koutouvides, and Rob Ninkovich.

DE Cliff Avril @cliffavril (Seahawks) - Avril had one tackle and pulled ye olde sack-strip in the NFC Championship game. Avril is looking for his first ring this weekend.

Shaun Phillips @ShaunPhillips95 (Broncos) - Phillips had two tackles in the AFC Championship game and is also looking for his first ring.
