Dakota Mathias, Vince Edwards, and Isaac Haas each had huge games just before the new year.

There was an overwhelming positive response to the recruiting update that I posted last week, so I will try to keep it going. Isaac Haas is even sending me his statistics after every game via Twitter, so these will get better as the season goes on. Here is your most recent update:

Dakota Mathias - G - Elida HS, Elida, OH - Elida got a nice win over Lima Senior High on December 28th as Dakota Mathias simply went off. Elida won 86-80 in double overtime behind 47 points from Mathias. Elida is now 6-2 on the season after the big game from Mathias.

Vince Edwards - F - Middletown HS, Franklin, OH - Middletown moved to 6-3 on the season after a 71-62 win over Mason on Monday. Edwards had 30 points and 10 rebounds in the victory:

Edwards played through an elbow injury, scoring 13 points in the first and fourth periods. He also made four steals.

Mason was previously undefeated and this was a big conference win for Middletown.

Jacquil Taylor - F - Cambridge, MA, Beaver Country Day School - Beaver Country Day was off this past week after winning the Rivers Tournament on December 21.

Isaac Haas -C -Piedmont, AL, Hoke's Bluff HS - As mentioned above, Isaac is contacting me after games with his stats and he had a couple of big games this past week. On December 28th Hoke's bluff beat Westbrook 51-41 and Haas had a huge game of 19 points, 14 rebounds, 10 blocks for a triple-double. Just two days later Hoke's Bluff lost to Amaerican Christian Academy 64-62, but Haas had another big game with 32 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks. Hoke's Bluff is 11-5 on the season.
