Week 6 AP And Coaches Poll: NIU Gets Big Boost From Purdue Win

A win over Purdue propelled Northern Illinois up in the rankings.

Well, Northern Illinois can give us a big thank you if they make a second straight BCS Bowl. The Huskies took a big jump towards the top 25 with the blowout of our Boilers. They are just outside the top 25 in the AP poll and in the Coaches poll they are now 23rd.
