Edwards joins fellow Ohioan Dakota Mathias as part of next year's class. According to most, Michigan was the school to beat for Purdue, but Edwards also holds offers from Dayton, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, and Xavier. His trip to West Lafayette was his first official college visit.
Rivals and Scout list Edwards as a 3-star, while ESPN has bestowed a 4th star on Edwards. His 4-star ranking on ESPN is good for #80 on the ESPN100. As recently as six months ago, Rivals had Edwards as the #62 player in the 2014 class but has since moved him down their list. Edwards is a 6-7, 200 pound forward who will see time on the wing at Purdue. Edwards is a great athlete with a wide range of skills on the perimeter and in the paint. He's a strong finisher at the rim but is still developing a consistent jump shot.
No matter how tonight's game goes, the Boilers have something to cheer about today. Check out his video below.
