Purdue basketball's 2014 recruiting class is still waiting for its second member after guards Bryant McIntosh and JP Macura, both from the class of 2014, committed to Northwestern and Xavier, respectively, Monday night.

McIntosh is a 6-foot-3 guard from Greensburg (IN.) who had previously committed to Indiana State before decommitting this spring in hopes of committing somewhere on a bigger stage. The stage he chose, Northwestern, only averages about 650 more visitors per game, but the Wildcats reportedly sold McIntosh on Purdue's desire to add as many guards as possible to the class, while they were hoping to make him their "star."

Northwestern's 2014 class now has three members, including a four-star wing in Victor Law.

Meanwhile, 6-foot-5 guard JP Macura, of Lakeville (MN), committed to Xavier Monday night after visiting almost 20 schools in the last year. Macura was on Purdue's campus two weekends ago and reportedly had a final five list of Purdue, Minnesota, Creighton, Xavier and Iowa State.

Purdue has just one commit for the 2014 class, guard Dakota Mathias. Vince Edwards has been a longtime target, while the Boilers appear to be casting a fairly large net looking for others. Painter would clearly like to add as many talented guards as possible, while also a big man.
