18 Days To Purdue Football: Cameron Posey

A receiver coming off of his redshirt year is trying to become a contributor in 2013.

Things are a little hectic today after a housing deal fell through. Fortunately, there is Purdue football just over the horizon to think of as a positive.

Cameron Posey - Fr. (RS)

Boca Raton, Florida (American Heritage HS)

6'1", 182 pounds

Wide Receiver

2013 Projection: Contributor at wide receiver

Cameron Posey is a bit of a mystery in a group of wide receivers that is deep and talented, but lacks experience. He does not have a ton of size, but he was a solid prospect that has been mentioned as a possible contributor both last year under Danny Hope and this year under Darrell Hazell. As a senior and sophomore in high school he helped American Heritage HS win state championship in Florida. A wrist injury limited him to just three games as a senior, however. That leaves him as a mystery since he has only played in three football games since 2010, but is a redshirt freshman.

As a junior he only caught 16 passes for 266 yards, but had six touchdowns. This shows that he can be a big play threat. As I said though, he is a mystery to most fans.
