After going 1-4 the previous week, the Purdue softball team had a perfect 5-0 weekend at the CentruyLink Classic in Texas. The Boilers beat Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 3-0 and 7-0, Texas State 4-3 (in 8 innings) and 7-2, and North Texas 6-2. The five wins move Purdue over .500 to 11-9 before they go to No. 20 Baylor for three games this weekend. The record isn't great, but Purdue has played a tough schedule, splitting with Tulsa in the current top 25 while losing to LSU, Arizona, Nebraska, and Texas A&M (twice).
