Ohio State at Purdue: Last Game Thread of 2013

Purdue goes in search of a quality win in the Big Ten home opener.

Sandra Dukes-USA TODAY Sports

I wish I was sitting in the alumni Paint Crew today as I have done the last two years, but the responsibilities of being a new dad mean I am on my couch with my 8-month-old son introducing him to Big Ten basketball. Hopefully he likes it as much as his current favorite toy: a yardstick.

It goes without saying that today is a big game for both teams. Purdue needs a signature win and Ohio State has Big Ten title aspirations that don't need to be derailed a little in the first game. Purdue must be in attack mode and they must hope that Ohio State's offensive struggles that plagued them against Notre Dame continue.

It will be a loud crowd in Mackey Arena today. Let's get it done, boys.
